Our focus today is another tip for prosperity that will never make it to the curriculum of our Ivy Leagues. We are talking about meditation. The word means to ponder or study. It also covers the practice of imagining. Finally, meditation in addition to pondering and imagining involves muttering, the practice of speaking out in a low tone. When Joshua took over the mantle of leadership, God gave him his job description, which was to parcel out the land to the various tribes of Israel. Besides, God gave him the formula that would guarantee his success in the task. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”. (Joshua 1:8 NKJV)
What are the effects of meditation? Primarily, it renews the mind. This is critical. Both poverty and prosperity are first issues of the mind. Someone with a poverty mindset will wallow in lack even amid abundance. Conversely, someone with prosperity mindset will dig out himself from the hole of poverty someway. So renewing the mind is important. Renewing the mind is the foremost important step to transformation. Secondly, meditation is the means of birthing revolutionary ideas. Nothing sells like great, timely ideas. One good idea is enough to break down the holding power of poverty and release multitudes to their financial freedom.
