The hospital is the last place you would expect to find love, particularly if you are nursing a sick relative. However, as Engineer Godwin’s case would prove, good things can happen in strange places. In the past meditation, I had discussed what I gleaned from him in the way they have managed to raise their children. Our discussions also covered how he met his wife. He had gone to the hospital to see a sick relative when he met the woman whom he now married. She was working at that same hospital at the time. In the beginning, there was no strings attached. But after his relative was discharged, their communication continued until it blossomed into a wonderful family today.
Any of these attitudes will blind us to the opportunities present in our predicaments. Even if you have occasion that makes you cry, make sure you are seeing through your tears. See the silver lining in your situation.
One of the several quotes of Napoleon Hill is this: “Within every adversity is an equal or greater benefit. Within every problem is an opportunity”. If this is true, then there is no one in the world that has no opportunity. This is so because everyone would run into problems sometime or another. It could be a direct problem or one that comes to us by proxy. To this extent, everyone has what it takes to experience a better life. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always turn out positive. The typical response of people to problems is denial. If that is not the case, we are looking for who we might make a scapegoat and blame. At other times, we simply grow bitter about our circumstances. Any of these attitudes will blind us to the opportunities present in our predicaments. Even if you have occasion that makes you cry, make sure you are seeing through your tears. See the silver lining in your situation.
