A sister of mine left me a voice note sometime in January this year. She had called earlier, complaining of her health issues that resurfaced again and needed to visit the hospital. I sent her a token which prompted the voice note. She said, “I can say now that you are a father to me; anytime I call, you answer me.” She then went on to pray for me and my family from the depth of her soul. Her note gave me the opportunity to do a rethink of fatherhood all over again. Fatherhood is not about age or position, but being available, reachable, and willing to render a helping hand.
Fatherhood is not about age or position, but being available, reachable, and willing to render a helping hand…God is described as the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. He is our “go-to” Father at all times…Believers can rest in this fact that there is nothing that we need that He can’t supply.
Jesus brought a revolutionary idea to our relationship with God. While teaching about prayer, He instructed us to approach God as “Father”. Being born again brings us into family union with the Almighty God. This same God is described as the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. He is our “go-to” Father at all times. He is a Father with a difference. It is possible that my sister might have a need beyond my human capability. If that ever happens, I won’t be able to play the role of a father figure to her. Not so with our Heavenly Father. There is nothing that we need that is not within His reach. Believers can rest in this fact that there is nothing that we need that He can’t supply.
1 thought on “ALL SUFFICIENT FATHER”
Knowing and relating to God as Father will not only kill anxiety, it will take away unnecessary burden and change everything about you.
