The entire Christendom is on the same page about Paul’s incredible ministry of impact. Arguably, no one has been able to have the magnitude of his impact in all phases of Christianity. The text for our meditation today can be a summary of the secrets of his life. He knew the will of God, saw the risen Lord, and heard His voice. All three combined provided him with the needed guidance for the life of exploits he lived. God’s guidance will always lead to lofty achievements. Divine guidance will make the seemingly impossible a walkover. Consider Deuteronomy 32:13: “He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and He made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock.” When He leads, lack will give way to abundance. Sucking honey out of the rock and oil out of the flinty rock implies that provision will come from unlikely and difficult places. When He guides, nothing is impossible.
Getting acquainted with God is the secret of knowing His voice. God will guide with His voice. God still speaks today. He that made the mouth will He not speak? The design of the Tabernacle is clear that God love to talk with His people. “And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two Cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.” Exodus 25:22. By listening to God, Moses was well positioned to represent Him before the people. That is still very applicable to us today. Whoever connects the voice of God will invariably become a voice to his or her generation.
