Although David did not secure leave of God to build the temple, he made elaborate financial and material preparations for it. Apart from what he gave of his personal treasures, he mobilized the leaders and indeed all Israel to give as well. In today’s estimate, it is believed that the temple of Solomon could be worth anything from $270 to $300 million! Now, we know that God is much more interested in people than building. If that amount was required to build what was eventually destroyed, how much more will we need to build the Church of the living God? Mind you, the people of God are the Church of God.
If you have the right perspective towards abundance, you are God’s candidate for blessing.
This brings us to another reason why God will prosper His people. Abundance is required to build the Church and the purpose of God this end time. “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build…” (Nehemiah 2:20). The exigencies of the last days in which we live will gulp a lot of resources to accomplish divine purpose. If you have the right perspective towards abundance, you are God’s candidate for blessing.
