We had our annual Mission trip to Tanzania in the middle of September last year. Specifically, we were privileged to present God’s word to the Maasai people. On one of the days when our guides came to pick us from our lodge, I made move to sit at the front right side of the vehicle. It was when I was about to open the door that I came to the consciousness that the passenger seat was to the left side of the vehicle, their wheel being on the right side. That was not the first time I would experience a similar mix-up. It happens to me regularly whenever I travel to any nation using right hand wheel. Having been accustomed to left-hand drive in Nigeria, it has been engraved into my consciousness and it plays out automatically whenever I travel.
Human beings are products of habits. Through repeated actions, we get used to doing certain things in a certain way…If you care for a different outcome this year, you have to learn to do things differently.
Human beings are products of habits. Through repeated actions, we get used to doing certain things in a certain way. The implication of this is that unless there are conscious efforts, your 2026 may play out exactly the way 2025 did. You may find yourself routinely doing what you have always done. If the results you have been getting are satisfactory, then there is no need to worry about following your well beaten path. However, if you find yourself below par, there is work to do to break certain habits. You must have heard how someone defined insanity as doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome. If you care for a different outcome this year, you have to learn to do things differently.

The message is thought provoking if we must experience change this year. The beautiful thing is that God doesn’t leave us in sobering reality, He invites us into transformation. We must be intentional about how we live our lives daily in 2026
