On the morning of Friday November 17, 2023, I received a call from one of the most dedicated women in our ministry. She called my attention to an error that she spotted in the devotional of that day. When I went to cross check, I realised that it was even more than that day alone; the error covered four days! Devotional entries for November 16-19, 2023 read September 16-19, 2023. The dates and days were correct, but not the month. Here is the puzzle: After I was done with the script, I read about twice. No less than 3 independent readers went through it. Somehow the error escaped all of us and made it to the press.
There are things that you haven’t seen yet. Tell God to open your eyes to them. There are things you don’t know yet. Ask God to teach you.
We hardly see everything at once. There are things that you haven’t seen yet. Tell God to open your eyes to them. There are things you don’t know yet. Ask God to teach you. Sometimes, it would take the input of an external person to point out what you are doing wrong. So, apart from praying to God, you have to be humble and approachable. Imagine that Moses with all his anointing did not spot any wrong with his administrative style that required sitting from morning till evening everyday, attending to all Israel by himself. That would have led to disaster, but the intervention of his father-in-law saved the day. As you commence a new year, let it be with a heart of humility so you can find the missing links in your life.
