“Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face”. Psalm 5:8 NKJV

A Pauline injunction to the Thessalonians is this: “but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.”

When God makes His way straight before us and leads us along, the tendency of being deceived will be greatly minimized.

From his request, we see that he knew that knowing the right path is not enough; he needed the Lord to go along the way He showed. Why is that important? “Because of my enemies”, he said. When God goes ahead of any pathway or venture He nullifies the enemies for good. When God makes His way straight before us and leads us along, the tendency of being deceived will be greatly minimized.
