Some subjects in the Bible are recurrent, and restoration will fall into this category. God is an expert at recovery business. The pre-Adamic world was taken over by Lucifer. Reading the creation story in Genesis 1 is an exercise in restoration. Noah’s world was also corrupted, leading to destruction by flood of water. However, that did not cancel the plan of God for man to make him fruitful and replenish the earth. Shortly after the flood, God pronounced upon Noah the same blessing He had earlier put on Adam before sin. That’s to give effect to God’s abiding plan and that He has what it takes to recover whatever is wrongly taken by the devil. Even the current earth will one day be totally recovered from the corrupting influence of sin and the devil. New Heavens and a new earth will emerge, where there will be no lack, sin, sickness or death.
Knowing that God has a rich pedigree of recovery is a consolation…The coming of the Lord holds the key to all restoration.
Meanwhile, knowing that God has a rich pedigree of recovery is a consolation. There is nothing that the adversary has wrongly taken that will not be restored. Also, there is no one else who can facilitate your quest for recovery other than God. Beyond temporal restoration, believers should fix their gaze firmly on what our text emphasized. The coming of the Lord holds the key to all restoration.
