UNBROKEN FOCUS

“And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”” Daniel 6:20 (NKJV)

What do you understand by the word ‘’Lord” as employed in the Bible? The word means the Self-Existent One. It also connotes One with supreme power and authority. This thought is carried over in several other passages of the Bible. For example, the Psalmist declared in Psalm 62:11, “God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God”. Moving over to the New Testament, Jesus affirmed that He is the custodian of all power. “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:.18) The implication is that there is nothing God cannot do.

“If you want to see the power of God in your life, commit to seeking and serving Him with unbroken focus. “

Now, whereas God has power to accomplish whatever He wants or whatever we desire of Him, it is not all the time that this power is made manifest. We will not be in a position to enjoy the unlimited power of God unless we meet certain conditions, one of which is to trust Him without reservation. Implicit faith in the ability of God to save and deliver is critical to our breakthrough. There is something else coming through from our text. The question we have here was asked by the king when he got to the lions’ den the day after Daniel was thrown in there. He wondered if the God that Daniel served continually was able to deliver him. Of course, God did. If you want to see the power of God in your life, commit to seeking and serving Him with unbroken focus.
