Perhaps only few individuals across the globe could boast that all their plans and projections for 2020 came through exactly the way they wanted them. For the most part, 2020 would readily be described as a great disruptor. Plans were drastically altered, postponed or cancelled outright. Unfortunately, many people were outlived by their plans as they could not make it through the year. The year brought to light, among other things, the limits of human knowledge and plans. It taught us that life is surrounded by a lot of uncertainties. It is for this reason that we must learn to put our lives in the hands of God in whom there is no uncertainty.
“…we must learn to put our lives in the hands of God in whom there is no uncertainty. The uncertainties of life should not stop us from making plans…Planning should be an integral part of a winning life”
The uncertainties of life should not stop us from making plans. We have it said over and again that to fail to plan is to plan to fail. Planning should be an integral part of a winning life. However, we must never forget James’ counsel. When we roll out our plans, we should factor in the divine angle by adding, “If God wills”. The ball is set rolling for 2021 already. Let us all rely on the arm of grace for a momentous year that will bring us fulfillment, and that for God’s glory.
