In our previous meditation, we commended the leprous men for their clear thinking. Take note that there must have been thousands of people in that city, none except these four men put on their thinking cap. By thinking clearly about the situation, they soon became solution providers. There is another thing that is highly commendable about these men. They did not stop at clear thinking but coupled it with bold action. So we have clear thinking and bold action working together to fulfil prophecy.

In recent years, there has been a renewed interest in personal prophecy. There is nothing wrong with this necessarily. However, two things have to be considered. Firstly, no amount of personal prophecy can rival the scriptures. In the scriptures, we have a more sure word of prophecy. If personal prophecy runs contrary to what is written, it is of no consequence. Secondly, both personal prophecy and the more sure word of prophecy cannot substitute for bold and constructive action. The prophecy of Elisha would have been endangered if those men did not act. So after you have received the word, find out the corresponding steps that you should take.
