God has a compensation plan in place for people when they are mistreated. However, the snag is that not many people have the patience to wait for His plan. They often prefer to take the laws into their own hands. It is most natural to attempt to hit back when we suffer maltreatment or injustice. But this is fraught with many dangers, not the least is the fact that we are lured into the flesh if we yield. Whoever wronged you has been involved in the works of the flesh. When you try to take it back on the offender, you end up in the works of the flesh yourself. It is trite to add that we cannot live in the flesh if we hope to please God.
God has a compensation plan in place for people when they are mistreated…When you withhold vengeance, you honour God who says “vengeance is mine”. He knows how to level with the offender. In addition, He will compensate you.
Vengeance is taking over God’s role. God said in His word that vengeance belongs to Him, so trying to exact your own pound of flesh is presumptuous. When you withhold vengeance, you honour God who says “vengeance is mine”. He knows how to level with the offender. In addition, He will compensate you. Jacob was unjustly treated by Laban. He was short-changed time and again. God took count; and at the fullness of time, He stepped in to reward Jacob. “Lift up now thine eyes, and see”, God told Jacob. God gave Jacob a vision that showed him how to multiply his flock. The result of that was the abundant wealth which God gave to Jacob. Look up when you are hurt; God’s wonderful plan will burst forth in your sight.
