God is omniscient. That means that He has comprehensive knowledge of all things. He has all the details about everything from the beginning to the end; and He has figured out the possible combinations of issues way before time! That means nothing can ever catch God unawares. To this extent, we can say that there is no emergency with God. Here is an illustration. When God put Adam and Eve in the garden, He warned them that they should not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which was in the midst of the garden. He warned them of the consequence if they violated the instruction – they would die. That means death already existed even before man was created. However, the spirit of death was only activated through their disobedience.

The sin of the first family activated negative outcome. Ironically, it was their error that activated redemption plan! Redemption has been packaged and concluded before man fell; sin triggered it! That is why the Bible describes Jesus as of Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8). This revelation makes one exclaim with Paul, “Oh, the depth of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!” (Romans 11:33).
