One of the popular songs in our early days in the faith is GOD CAN DO ANYTHING BUT FAIL. God is mighty in power and ready to save. There is no constraint with God to save with little or big means. However, when the need appears overwhelming by human standard, or whenever God resorts to unnatural means to reach out, our senses may want to kick. Moses’ senses must be playing some pranks on him when God promised to feed all the people of Israel with meat for one month. See the verse that captured his response: “And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’ Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?”” Numbers 11:21-22 NKJV
“It is fruitless trying to figure out the means by which God will solve our problems. “
From our text, it is clear that Naaman’s senses also kicked in when the prophet told him to go and dip himself in Jordan seven times and be cured of leprosy. What he heard was contrary to what his senses dictated. The instructions were rather too simple, as far as he was concerned. God specializes in confounding the mighty with simple things. If we fix our gaze on spectacular events we may never be able to tap into God’s power. It is fruitless trying to figure out the means by which God will solve our problems. What is profitable is putting our faith in His ability and submitting to every instruction.
