The 25th National Convention of First Love Assembly kicked-off yesterday. On purpose, we chose the theme HELP OF GOD. It is a way to summarize our experience in the past 25 years. We are celebrating the help of God without which there would have been no ministry, or even our lives. I recall a dream that I had just before the start of the ministry. I was at the starting point of a paved road that had been damaged by big machines. As I was about to drive on that road, those standing by were worried. Some warned me not to drive on it. I shrugged off their concerns and went on. I drove through to the other end of the road and became an instructor to those watching me. I charged them to see what faith in God could do. When I woke up from the dream, I knew that the road would not be easy, but it would not be impossible. God’s help has made a difference!
“God does not give you any task and abandon you. He will surely give you all the necessary help to make the most of your assignment.”
Apostle Paul had deeper revelations than many others, but his sufferings for Christ were unmatched too. His life hung on a thread many times, but he survived. In our text, he attributed his continued existence to the help of God. He told the Roman church that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. It will be right also to say that where challenges abound, God’s help much more abounds. We have seen so much help from God that our tongue cannot fully recount. The lesson is that God does not give you any task and abandon you. He will surely give you all the necessary help to make the most of your assignment.
