Countries with extreme weather patterns know the value of weather forecast. It helps them to plan their movements and determine what kind of armours to put in their gears. Figuratively speaking, weather condition can fall into two main categories. Find this out from Jesus’ teaching. “He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” (Matthew 16:2-3). We understand here that the weather could either be fair or foul. The first speaks of good time by every definition, while the other refers to the difficult seasons of life.
God did not indicate that His children are immune to foul weathers…A child of God should be confident of one thing that he or she will never be abandoned to the winds.
What should be the attitude of a believer during foul weather? From where does a child of God draw his or her strength when times are tough? The word of God should be the anchor at such moments. God did not indicate that His children are immune to foul weathers; He only said that He got them covered at such rough moments. Passages like the one cited today which spell out the promises of God should provide a brace for the soul. God will not watch His dear ones washed away by the water of adversity. A child of God should be confident of one thing that he or she will never be abandoned to the winds.
