Preaching is not the manifestation of a man’s oratory or humour…Effective preaching is giving out the word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our goal should always be doing the greatest good to the greatest number of people wherever we are found.

There are things that prayer will not fix; accurate knowledge is what we need.

Working hard on a wrong task is a waste of time and energy.

Except in connection with sins, every fear should be dealt with by the word of God and prayer. We should substitute the fear of the Lord for all other fears.
