As far as life in God is concerned, nothing is left to chance, presumption, or human sentiments. Not our stewardship towards Him or personal investment should be ventured into without His dictates. First, consider stewardship. God sets out several rules to guide the children of Israel in their stewardship towards Him. In one place He commanded all males twenty years and above to appear in Jerusalem three times each year. They were not to appear before Him empty handed. In another place God commanded them to not throw their offerings in just any fanciful place; they were to bring them to designated places. This warning still applies today. Without exercising discernment we can give our money to places that only further the cause of Satan.
When next you have some money to invest, ask God to show you which direction to go. No one loses their investment following God’s guidance
In our lead scripture for meditation, Jeremiah received a word of the Lord concerning investment. He was instructed to buy a parcel of land from the hand of his uncle’s son. It is interesting that the information came to him at an inauspicious time and place. He was in prison at the time. Typically, a man in his situation would have just one thing on his mind – freedom. Again, the people were in the throes of captivity. That was not the time to buy land. However, God instructed him to buy because of its prophetic significance. In the majority of cases, people rely on stock market reports to make their investment, or they simply join the bandwagon of what is perceived to be lucrative at any particular season. All these have their place; but they have their limitations as well. People of God should not invest their money in just any place; but in the particular field(s) that God indicates. When next you have some money to invest, ask God to show you which direction to go. No one loses their investment following God’s guidance
