In her prophetic worship, Hannah said, “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them.” (1 Samuel 2:8). Sometimes our background may play a trick on us. Many of us were brought up in abject poverty. However, those are the kind of people God delights in. The good news is this, God will pick you up in whatever state you are in; but will never leave you the same way.
Your tomorrow is in God, and the glory of it should be a motivation to move on despite any present difficulty.
One crucial lesson today is that the power of transformation comes from God alone. This is the assurance we can go with from today’s passage. You may start small, but God’s power will hit you and make something great out of your life. In the meantime, you may have to look away from any present circumstance that makes you feel small. Your focus should be on the end. Even Jesus had to focus on the end to get strength to go through a difficult moment. Your tomorrow is in God, and the glory of it should be a motivation to move on despite any present difficulty.
