On June 18, 2019, one Dele Matthews posted on his page the dream which his then 8-year-old son had. “I saw a dream, Jesus coming from heaven to earth. When he landed the earth turned to heaven”. Talk of God ordaining strength from the mouth of babes and sucklings. An 8-year-old will probably not be in a position to read the stories in the Bible comprehensively, talk less of eschatological matters. God has summed up for this young boy the entire end-time message through a dream. Let’s subject the dream to some biblical tests. The return of Jesus from heaven to earth is a well prophesied subject. Psalm 110:1 is about His return – “The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”” (Psalms 110:1 NKJV). John 14:2-3 is also about the return of Christ – “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:2-3 NKJV).
In prophetic agenda, this earth shall again wear a resemblance of heaven just as God intended from the beginning. The sinners and all the wicked ones will have no part in God’s new earth. It shall be the heritage of the saints forever.
As per the earth becoming heaven when He lands, that also can be validated. Jesus taught us to pray for the arrival of the kingdom and that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven. Once His will is done here, the earth invariably will become a replica of heaven. In our text, we see New Jerusalem made from heaven descending to the earth. In prophetic agenda, this earth shall again wear a resemblance of heaven just as God intended from the beginning. The sinners and all the wicked ones will have no part in God’s new earth. It shall be the heritage of the saints forever. The thought of Jesus returning to earth is a clarion call for sinners to repent, but it should be the greatest source of excitement for the children of light.
