Following the disaster that befell the Titan submersible in June this year, an old social media post by a woman resurfaced. Deborah Grattan had seen a dream on October 31, 2013 and reported it. In her own words, “Had a weird dream that an evil billionaire started doing submarine trips to Titanic and somehow pumped water out of parts of it but then it turned to disaster on its maiden outing – prob make a good movie…” The dream seemed far fetched that she concluded it could probably make a storyline for a good movie. About 10 years after, the dream came to pass verbatim. Things are usually scheduled in the realm of the spirit. If Satan schedules a thing and no concrete step is taken, it opens the door for disaster. Never take chances on spiritual things. Dream or not, periodically clear the atmosphere over you and all yours, using the authority in the Blood and name of Jesus.
“Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enough to live forever and never see the grave.”
Two other lessons came out clear to me from that disaster. Firstly, the incapacity of money to save lives. All the people on board were billionaires, but their riches could not save them. It lends credence to what the psalmist said, “They trust in their wealth and boast of great riches. Yet they cannot redeem themselves from death by paying a ransom to God. Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enough to live forever and never see the grave.” (Psalms 49:6–9 NLT). The final lesson is the brevity of life. None of the people who perished ever thought that that mission would be their end. Imagine that they even had a teenager onboard! In light of this, those who are wise know the importance of living ready to meet their Maker.
