The Word of Faith movement has been maligned a great deal in some quarters. Critics hinge their stand on certain excesses of the adherents. Notwithstanding, a great number of scriptures point to the fact that a word spoken in faith and backed with obedient steps can turn things around. A couple of examples will be in order. Shortly after the Lord resurrrected, He saw the disciples on the lake of Tiberias. They had gone in search of a catch; but it was futile. By the morning time Jesus revealed Himself to them. “And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.” (John 21:6).
“If you think your output is not corresponding to your labour, you are in need of a word from the Lord. A word from the Lord becomes a word of faith in your mouth; and that will be sufficient for positive results.”
There was a similar scenario before the cross. Peter and his colleagues worked hard all night long; yet they had nothing by the break of day. That was when Jesus stepped in. He instructed them to launch into the deep. The result? “And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” (Luke 5:6). A word from the Lord made the difference in the business fortune of these frustrated fishermen. This shows that God is interested in all our concerns, including business. We understand from these examples that though hard work is important for a breakthrough, it will never be enough to deliver results. If you think your output is not corresponding to your labour, you are in need of a word from the Lord. A word from the Lord becomes a word of faith in your mouth; and that will be sufficient for positive results.
