The life of a child of God is not left to chance, but firmly under control. The New Living Translation (NLT) of our text says that God “delights in every detail of their lives”. The Amplified Classic puts it another way, that God “busies Himself” with every step of the believers. Some years ago, the Reverend Wildfire invited me to Enugu to commission their ministry’s facility. I reserved a seat on Air Peace. Note that I could have travelled with another airline, but for no obvious reason to me while making the reservation I chose Air Peace. I was allotted Seat NO. 12B. By the time I got into the plane, the overhead compartment was already filled up. One of the hostesses said, “That place is full; can you look for somewhere at the back?” So I went as far back as 21C. As I was trying to slot in my bag, the gentleman on 21A was staring at me. Finally, he asked if I was Pastor Simeon Afolabi. He greeted me most courteously and said Pastor Komaya and Pastor Tony have spoken so much about me. He reached to his pocket, as if he had it ready packed, and handed me an envelope with ten thousand naira. Lesson: God can re-arrange things to position you for blessing.
Moment after that, someone else walked down the isle to greet me. He claimed he had seen me while I was entering the plane. He later informed me that he was recently thinking of me. He had been on a 40-day fast, and that he had purposed that at the end he would send me some money as a seed faith for his expectations that year. However, when he saw me he wondered why he would have to wait any longer. Before I left Enugu he had transferred fifty thousand naira to my account. Lesson: God can fast forward blessing to your life. I never knew I would meet any of these gentlemen, but God did. He took time to work out the details. Once you commit your ways to God, you can rest on His honour that He is taking care of everything.
