God’s reward is not limited to money or material alone; it may come in the form of a calling into higher levels of divine service.

There is a fixed time for God’s reward and it is called the due season. The safety valve in all of this is to remain constant in service to God and man.

There are times when the sovereignty of God comes to play. Jesus lived a spotless life. His level of faith was unmatched. Yet, in the garden of Gethsemane He prayed that the cup be removed from Him.

The best life is one lived in the service of others. The story of Ruth demonstrates this perfectly. Recall that in our meditation yesterday, we saw that Elimelech’s move to Moab did not have a happy ending.

It could be what providence has earmarked you to resolve. Staying or moving from a place must all be at the discretion of God.

Jesus commanded His disciples to love one another, but it has to be done in the right way – the agape way. It is the supreme love that is not served as a reward for being worthy, but embracing people as God does.

If we ask for a thing and we do not receive the way we imagined, it could be a blessing in disguise.

Firstly, God has His “Gamaliels” everywhere, and He can activate them when necessary. Secondly, God still answers prayers. Finally, believers should not shy away from politics and administration at any level.
