There is what could be described as the “extra mile” principle. This is derived from Jesus’ teaching where He instructs us to go two miles for anyone who compels us to go one.

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD
Whenever you are tempted to make God play the second fiddle, remember that it is only the blessing of the Lord that can make you rich and add no sorrow with it. Keep God where He belongs!
ADMINISTERING GOD’S GIFT
Most importantly, your reward is tied to faithful administration of God’s gift in your life.
SPIRIT OF COUNSEL
Of the sevenfold anointing on Jesus in Isaiah 11:2, the spirit of counsel is mentioned. That can be yours for the asking.
MAKING GOD KNOWN
The chief aim of all gospel activities is to make God known. Whether it is preaching or miracles, everything must point people to God.
DELAYED PROPHECIES
Why do prophecies seem to delay sometimes? The answer will be for lack of enabling conditions. As for God’s words, they are infallible and will always come to pass when conditions are right.
ANGER IS INSANITY
I often consider anger as temporary insanity. A spell of anger can cause irreparable damage.
BOUNTIES OF HEAVEN
Treacherous dealing will block the bounties of heaven from coming down to us. God cares about how we relate to one another. How we relate with people is a good gauge of our standing with God.
BREAKING BARRIERS
Our text for today’s meditation is built around the thought that to break barriers, we must conquer intimidation. The Jebusites tried to intimidate David from taking Jerusalem.
