Words will either condemn or acquit, save or destroy. Whenever you speak pleasant words to people, you enlist as a member of God’s medical team to the world.

This leads to our text – those who care to listen to God’s guidance will dwell safely and be free from the fear of evil.

Guidance from God is different. God can guide through the dark hours and in every place. He is omniscient and omnipresent, meaning that He is all knowing and present everywhere at the same time.

It was that unswerving allegiance that qualified them for the kingdom. In the same way, holding on to the Lord in unsettling and difficult times is the path to ultimately experience His deliverance.

Anyone who will take their place in God’s eternal kingdom must do so through steady allegiance – both in the easy times and the hard ones. 

Those who refused to change in any form showed their aversion to the fear of God. In other words, your willingness to make changes shows that you fear God.

“Nevertheless, so many times Onesiphorus was like a breath of fresh air to me and never seemed to be ashamed of my chains. May our Lord Jesus bestow compassion and mercy upon him and his household.” 2 Timothy 1:16 TPT.
