Here we have a consolation that if we walk in the light, God can keep us from sinning and falling away.
In summary, integrity is acting in conformity with light received. We cannot lay claim to integrity if we walk contrary to knowledge.
The Bible describes God as being plenteous in mercy, and it is on the basis of that we keep enjoying what we can never merit.
Whenever we are being assaulted by fears and uncertainties, let us draw our strength and support from His oath, covenant, and Blood.
Jesus further taught that those who put their hands on the plough and look back are not worthy of Him. Consistency is the rule in the kingdom.
Lot followed that path and ended up with checkered history. Our safety valve is to follow the way of the Spirit.
The next verse tells us the extent that God would go in seeing that the righteous is kept out of trouble.
Prophecy is history told in advance; it is tomorrow’s history told today. In our text, God showed 400 years of advance history to Abram just in a moment of time.
Hearing bestows responsibility. Abraham heard, and he acted. Nehemiah was of this frame as well.
