Unbelief is costly. It is a terrible sin because it limits God in the affairs of men.
While God is a man of war, He doesn’t always resort to weapons of war to achieve victory.
They did not stop at clear thinking but coupled it with bold action. So we have clear thinking and bold action working together to fulfil prophecy.
Clear thinking is like turning on the light in the darkness. It is necessary to solve problems, create plans, and attain purpose.
Knowing that both fears and foes will flee when God is on our side, we should seek and cultivate divine presence.
Prayer is to help us understand the counsel of God and supply the strength to carry it out.
Our present focus is to know what is required in waiting on God for counsel. First on the list is time.
The second sin of Israel in this verse of scripture was the fact that they acted without receiving counsel from God.
