That we live in the last days is a fact established in the Bible and corroborated by day-to-day life experiences. One key ingredient to surfing these days is sensitivity of spirit. In a number of passages, the Bible warns against excesses with regards to the appetite.
The reality is, a first impression hardly gives the true picture of people, especially in this age of packaging. I have often heard that we should not judge a book by its cover. This is more like saying don’t rely on the first impression.
As we observed yesterday, the inheritance that is reserved for us in heaven is what counts. There is no result that we post here on earth that is as important of having our names in the Lamb’s book of life.
Kingdom citizens do not live for now, they live for the future. Our lead scripture reminds us that an inheritance is reserved for us in heaven. Whatever good things come our way in this world will be mercy drops compared to what is reserved.
Access to divine secrets is a privilege of the believers. Whenever we don’t see this “sign” we need to do self-examination and cry out to God. Generally, believers are expected to conduct routine checks on themselves to determine where they stand in relation to God.
Revelation of deep things is a continuous and beneficial act of God. Whatever secrets that the Lord might choose to reveal now will not be any less potent in their effect than what we have recalled here.
Even if we are feeble individually, tremendous results can be achieved in concert. The little ant works as team and have security for the future. Those who cannot work with others cannot work far; neither can they build a lasting legacy.
We are often too eager to judge people without knowing the details of their lives. Meanness to people can make them worse off. So we need to be kind more often than not.
Our passage says a curse causeless shall be of no effect. If there is no “gap” in our lives all of Satan’s arrows are impotent. Several things can amount to a “gap” occasioning the weapons of the enemy to prove lethal. Sin is the principal avenue; it breaks down people’s defenses.
