Our text says those who would be blessed are those who draw their strength from the Lord. What are the things that people like to rely on? Some people’s strength is in their wealth.
by living in the spirit of worship that brings down the presence of the Lord. Dwelling in God’s presence attracts blessing.
There are certain blessings that will come your way when you fellowship with people of kindred spirit which you cannot get some other way.
Today, we are examining the fifth condition for obtaining the Lord’s blessing. From our text, those who consider the poor will be blessed. What does it mean to consider the poor? It is to show them kindness.
But if we are chastened, we must understand that it is a proof of God’s love, and that we are being groomed for blessing.
The story has not changed till now; sin cuts one off from the blessing of God, and until it is dealt with, every religious activity to impress God is futile.
The second condition to meet in order to enjoy the blessing of the Lord is to trust Him. Our relationship with God must be characterized by trust. God wants to be trusted. Most decent people love to be trusted.
Speaking about the blessing of the Lord, the wise man said that it makes rich and adds no sorrow with it. If there is anything to add it would be that God is ever too eager to bless people.
This is what makes warfare inevitable in the lives of believers. We are called to battle in order to attain God’s precious promises.
