A NEEDED PRAYER
Jesus taught us to include a line to our prayer – LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION.
we learned of the need for believers to rise up in defense of their faith. What we need to bear in mind is that this may come at a cost.
Besides, God is looking for those who will take a stand to defend the faith of Christ which was delivered through the gospel.
One condition to make this happen is hunger for the divine. There is a clear evidence from our text that Paul was hungry. It is equally clear that his hunger was given the right focus.
No one can carry a blurry vision to victory. If the vision is blurred, progress is obstructed and the future uncertain.
The scripture warns against despising prophecy. Never be in doubt of anything that God has spoken; He has enough power to make good His promise.
Watching by the word and incessant prayer are the surest safeguards against temptation.
He even promised a good success. God could not have taught Joshua how to succeed If there was anything evil with it.
Finally, a good parameter to assess the leader over you is to find out if he is moving you closer or farther away from God. Good leaders move you closer to the ways of God.
If you are faithful even in the mundane aspect of your assignment, God will reward you as much as those in the forefront.
