Giving is a way of laying that eternal treasure. It is the equity that will be the basis of our reward when we stand before God on the last day.
Instead of laying treasures on earth with all the associated risks, we should learn to invest in heaven.
After every prayer, you need to pause and ask yourself a question: “Is there anything I can do practically to move closer to the thing I prayed for?” When prayer is approached this way it will no longer be seen as a spiritual escape from responsibility.
It is true that the Bible says that faith without work is dead; only we need to be reminded that sometimes the work required is no more than speaking affirmatively.
There is a difference between luck and opportunity. Lazy people are always waiting for some lucky break, but serious people look for an opportunity even if that means hard work. You can’t be any luckier than you are willing to work.
Unless we stay focused, we cannot move the hands of God in our favour. Focus is a sign of maturity.
What we see inspires what we think, say, and do. Until Eve saw that the forbidden tree was pleasant to the eye, she did not fall for the bait of Satan.
Children left to have their ways will one day self-destruct. Great futures are created through discipline.
