There are established protocols for approaching God. One of them was mentioned in our previous meditation; that is, having a pure motive. Besides, faith must come into the mix. Coming to God requires inner persuasion about His person and ability.

The first priority is to seek the Kingdom of God. The pursuit of God and His righteousness is the doorway to other blessings. Seeking the kingdom of God will make righteousness the watchword.

Writing to Timothy, Paul described the church of God as the ground and pillar of truth. Combining other passages, we can equally describe the church as pillar of strength as we shall see presently.

Prayer is God’s prescription for our woes. James said, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray” (James 5:13). The temptation to complain, grow cold and bitter is there when there are difficulties; but that is not God’s way of going about it.

How can we develop a right attitude towards negative events? The answer is in our text. It is by believing that God can work all things together to fulfill His will.

Attitude will trump environment any day. If the environment is toxic to your aspirations but you have a positive attitude, you cannot be defeated.

It is one of two ways: either we are going to succumb to the pressure of the environment or allow the spirit within us to rise and take care of matters.

Our redemption only lies in selfless leaders after the order of Joshua. All well-meaning people should pray for their emergence to turn things around.
