Reading the word of God will get our human spirit alert to the promptings of God. When you are in doubt of the ideal time to make a move, spend extra time in the word; and keep in mind that His word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.
When you feel pain, look beyond it. Ask the Lord to show you what the pain is signaling. A wise, expectant mother shoves aside pain and begins to make ready for delivery. It is time to begin to prepare for the next phase that God is bringing you into.
Those who do not operate their gifts either due to lack of discovery or sheer dereliction to duty will invariably rob the Body. We understand that the body of Christ is maintained by the contribution of every joint. Failure to use your gift, therefore, means you are weakening the overall health of all.
Prospering with our spiritual gifts begins with the discovery of them. You cannot put to any reasonable use what you are yet to acknowledge in the first place. It would be a tragedy of great proportion to lead through life without maximizing one’s gift. So, how do we discover our gifts?
The gifts and callings are complementary. The gifts are the tools for carrying out our calling. An understanding of your gift may as well be a pointer to the type of calling or assignment that has been given to you.
That was why he did not count his life dear; and could worship God in unlikely circumstances. No wonder God was willing to grant him access to such revelations. The more we love Him the more we can access the secrets of eternity.
Jesus considered love as the willingness to “lay down”. Lay down what? Everything! Love will require the laying down of one’s selfish interest. It involves laying down of time, talent, and treasure. Those for whom we are ready to lay down things are the ones we truly love.
So Jesus is the gate to renewed fellowship with the Father. He is the gate to peace, tranquility, and abundance which the Garden life stood for. Those who put their faith in Him have unrestricted access to God and all He can afford.
We ought to be excited that we are dealing with God who is never tired of our case. The more we approach Him for all of our issues, the more satisfied He gets, and the better our lives become.
The Scripture says a little leaven has the power to leaven the whole lump. Similarly, it is the little foxes that spoil the vine. We must constantly work at removing anything that can disconnect us from divine reward.
