There is a sequence in our text; light comes before salvation. Before the Lord becomes your salvation, He has to be your light. Light here represents the whole law of the Lord. It is translated illumination. The extent to which God illuminates you is the extent to which you can enjoy liberty, deliverance and prosperity.

Faith is potent where there is a prior commitment from God. It is a misconception to see faith as a way of arm-twisting God. When you come to demand what God has already purposed, nothing shall be impossible. Finally, faith works best when you are in your domain. There are boundaries in God and in the kingdom. You can reign and rule as King as long as you respect boundaries.

Believers who traffic with the ways and systems of the world inadvertently bring themselves under the control of the devil. It is futile, if not dangerous, for such people to attempt subduing the devil.

It is by applying the power of the blood and the principles of righteousness that we can silence the devil in our lives. Coupled with that is constant fellowship with the Lord. Fellowship reinforces dominion! That’s the reason the devil will take aim at your time with the Lord. Build up your spiritual capacity, and then command the devil to take his hands off your reward.

Instead of looking for a dole-out, maybe it is about time you began desiring divine direction. One word of instruction from Him could mean a compensation plan for many years of faithful service.
