THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD – 4

When people walk away from the will of God, they at the same time walk away from the presence of the Lord.
The second application of the presence of the Lord is in a literal sense. Here we refer to the time when all the Saints of God from the beginning of time will stand with Him in glory.
One way of enjoying God’s presence is by being in corporate worship with others of like faith. So it is possible for a believing couple to generate the presence of the Lord in their home.
When Jesus suffered in the flesh, He brought an end to the rule of sin. When believers also choose to die to self, a measure of pain is involved; but that is the way to cease from sin.

God expects us to pay attention to the message of nature and draw wisdom. Nature is God’s own testimonial that He exists, and has placed order into all things He made.
If we are ready to do all we can, God will meet us the remainder of the way and do what we cannot handle. Sincere efforts at anything will draw the attention of God.
One vision resonates in another. The lesson is that God’s plan for one life may be inseparably connected to His operations in another life. We see this pattern in Saul, later Paul.
