As Christians, our goal should be to please Christ who is our Captain. Even if this puts us in harm’s way, the cause of Christ must be pursued.

Those who pray to God must learn how to keep an open heart, in case He will choose to use them in the process of bringing answers to their prayers

As long as you derive a benefit from individuals who have no contractual obligations towards you, be grateful.

He called Him the Teacher who will teach all things. I imagine that every time we miss a thing, the Spirit brings us reassurance. He tells us that’s why He is here with us.

Our text makes it clear who a righteous person is; it is not the one who claims to be one, but one who practically demonstrates righteousness.

It is time to let God determine our true worth and seek honour from Him alone. Anything other than this will subject us to the same anxiety that characterizes the unbelievers.

Concentrate on serving altruistically, and let God reward you however, He deems fit.

Curiosity can also be a tool in the hand of God to get us into a higher spiritual height or bring us into our assignment.

I concluded that though he was not the official king of the town, he was a man of great influence. I described him as his community’s captain. Position is one thing, influence is a different thing altogether.

We must avoid undue familiarity that could breed contempt for the anointing on a life. Contempt can cancel out what a God-sent vessel has to offer.
