Well, God never comes late; but it is how we see things sometimes. Whenever we are faced with this scenario, God always leaves or reserves something for us. Several examples are there in the Bible to corroborate this. Abraham and Sarah thought God was running late in their affairs.

We never can tell the exact moment when the reward will come pouring in. This is the wisdom contained in our passage today. We should sow our seed of kindness morning, noon and night. You never can tell which one will ignite the harvest.

In conclusion we can boldly say that people can go down to the pit because God stopped talking, they may as well get to the mountaintop when He starts speaking. We need a restoration of God’s voice once again in our lives.

When we talk of reward, we should appreciate its dual nature. There is the earthly dimension of reward meant for here and now; and there is the incorruptible reward reserved for us in heaven. It is for this reason that the Bible says godliness is profitable for the present world and the one which is coming.

This shows the level of confidence Job had in his God. It was only a matter of time before God turned his captivity around; his latter end was more glorious than the beginning. Learn to judge God faithful; and He will turn all things around to your advantage.

We must add that those who want to walk with God must remember that He is a loving God; as such He will never allow us to go where His grace cannot sustain. Trusting in God includes surrendering to His sovereignty.

Whenever a petition is not answered as expected, a child of God should be assured that something better is in the offing.  It will take patience to understand the reason for what is withheld and for the eyes to be opened to God’s better package.

Sin is a robber and the first thing it steals is our confidence to approach God. If you want to receive from God beyond what you ask or think, endeavour to keep the line open to God through a life of righteousness.

Transport this occurrence to the Big Heavenly Father. We have been given the liberty to approach Him with all our needs. Keep in mind that there is nothing we ask that He cannot afford; and there is nothing that He gives that will in any way dent His fortune. Our God is simply unlimited and inexhaustible!

Everybody is prone to discouragement at one time or another. The men and women that we revere today as greatly accomplished are those who succeeded to wrestle their way out of discouragement. It is inconceivable that one who has not mastered discouragement will end up doing exploit. One of the things discouragement does is to stifle initiative and paralyse positive actions which are all necessary for success.
