It is those who are rich towards God that will inherit the earth. Not the earth as presently constituted, but the new one that shall descend from heaven. Its length, breadth and height are all equal. That speaks of perfection! That ought to be the ultimate longing of all.
In prophetic agenda, this earth shall again wear a resemblance of heaven just as God intended from the beginning. The sinners and all the wicked ones will have no part in God’s new earth. It shall be the heritage of the saints forever.
There is a sequence in our text; light comes before salvation. Before the Lord becomes your salvation, He has to be your light. Light here represents the whole law of the Lord. It is translated illumination. The extent to which God illuminates you is the extent to which you can enjoy liberty, deliverance and prosperity.
Faith is potent where there is a prior commitment from God. It is a misconception to see faith as a way of arm-twisting God. When you come to demand what God has already purposed, nothing shall be impossible. Finally, faith works best when you are in your domain. There are boundaries in God and in the kingdom. You can reign and rule as King as long as you respect boundaries.
Believers who traffic with the ways and systems of the world inadvertently bring themselves under the control of the devil. It is futile, if not dangerous, for such people to attempt subduing the devil.
It is by applying the power of the blood and the principles of righteousness that we can silence the devil in our lives. Coupled with that is constant fellowship with the Lord. Fellowship reinforces dominion! That’s the reason the devil will take aim at your time with the Lord. Build up your spiritual capacity, and then command the devil to take his hands off your reward.
Instead of looking for a dole-out, maybe it is about time you began desiring divine direction. One word of instruction from Him could mean a compensation plan for many years of faithful service.
God can never run short of channels; we should just realize that He is the source of our blessings. He asked Esther to intervene on behalf of her people, adding that if she failed help would come from another quarter. Fix your gaze on God, and He will decide the best way to reward you.
Accordingly, when Daniel realized that the time for the captivity to end was near, he took to praying. If by the revelation of the Spirit or of scripture you sense this is your reward season, do what Nehemiah did. Ask God to remember your labour in the kingdom and bring you a due reward.
The prophets engaged the Spirit of Christ that was in them to determine times and seasons. If you are born again, the Spirit of Christ is in you. That Spirit will communicate with your recreated human spirit and give you consciousness of the right time on every occasion.
