The question is this: Must we wait until old age before letting go of anxiety? From our text, Jesus wants us to discard anxiety pretty much now and not at a later time in life.
Jesus taught only what He practiced, so He is a perfect model of everything good. His actions also teach us that only those who practice what they preach can truly earn followership without coercion.
A little kindness shown to people can pave the way for them to embrace the message of the Cross. The gospel of Jesus essentially is not in words only but actions.
Finally from our text, we are to honour all people. This is because every human being has a measure of dignity.
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17 NKJV. Through Christ we have forgiveness of sins and a stake in the Father.
Walking with God requires trust. We have to believe in His faithfulness and learn to take Him at His word.
Jesus was fully God and fully man! His divinity was established by several of the claims that He made of Himself.
We are to follow in the footsteps of God. When we bring our power under control, we give opportunity to people around us to blossom.
Jesus admonished the people to search the scriptures. Through studying God’s word, a revelation of His person will dawn in our hearts.
