Again, vision matters because it saves one from expending energy and resources in things that will not add up. Finally, we should add that in creating a vision, it should be in line with what God is showing.

People give up too easily on their dreams. We know that pursuit is a proof of desire, but without adding persistence to pursuit there will be no fruit in sight.

David brushed aside their intimidation and got the victory. This brings us back to our conclusion in the previous meditation. If you want to do great things in life you must first confront everything trying to intimidate you.

Intimidation is defined as making “timid or fearful”. It is used to compel or deter. It can be called a psychological warfare. Goliath put intimidation to good use when the Philistines battled against Israel.

We hardly see all the facts when we are enraged. That is why our text says a man with discretion will defer his anger. Most of the things we react angrily to will probably be waved off as inconsequential if only we can wait a little. 

Since we cannot do without talking altogether, each one of us must study to talk less, speaking only when necessary and that reflectively.

Scattering leads to increase, withholding unduly, poverty. God’s word is clear that generosity will lead to enrichment. The average mind is waiting to be rich before taking on the virtue of generosity, but God wants you to start from where you are with what you have.

The testimony of the enemies is a confirmation of the ownership of the Church – Christ. The Church is a divine institution that no man can lay claim to.

The second thing was the Palace Protocol. You cannot behave anyhow in the presence of the king. The same thing with God who is the King of kings. Christianity does not give us the leeway to turn liberty to license for carelessness.

Those who want to enjoy God’s raise must imbibe the wisdom contained in Solomon’s writing – Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.
