This is where we need to introduce the idea of the responsibility of grace. God’s grace can never be earned or merited, otherwise it is no longer grace. However, once grace has been extended in any way, the recipient needs to show responsibility.
These two – righteousness and faith marked by obedience – are still good enough to qualify any one for exemption from famine, pestilence, and sword.
The difference between the two groups is the will of God. Living contrary to God’s will grieve Him while living by His word and for His purpose will gladden Him.
The change we want outside must begin inside. It is more like the teaching of Jesus – clean the inside of the cup, and the outside will be clean as well.
His life is a lesson that it is not necessarily how long we live that matters, but how impactful.
As things seem to be spinning out of control globally, the time has come for people to return to calling on the name of the Lord for His salvation.
This brings us to certain realities about God. He is a promise keeper. Whatever He says, He is capable of bringing to pass.
Though things can happen outside of the presence of the Lord, it would be with much struggle and lack the endorsement of God’s glory.
Sin is like a two-edged sword. Firstly, sin is a cause of grief for God. “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
