After divine justice had been served, God was ready to send the rain to the land. Elijah prayed and sent his servant to go and look toward the sea for a physical manifestation of the rain he had prophetically promised. There was no inkling that rain was in the offing for the first six times. The prophet’s response on each occasion was, “Go again”. Only on the seventh occasion did he report sighting a cloud the size of a man’s hand. That was good enough for the prophet that the rain would indeed fall.
One year of God’s favour shining on your endeavours can compensate for all lost grounds. So, go again with faith and expectation.
Every new year provides us with the opportunity to “go again”. One thing that I have come to appreciate about life is that success comes not just by applying the right principles but for the right length of time. If you have been applying all the necessary principles without any corresponding results, the recommendation is that you should go again this year. This year might just be the lucky break you have prayed and longed for. One year of God’s favour shining on your endeavours can compensate for all lost grounds. So, go again with faith and expectation.
